LINDA BARBARA MCCLELLAND (nee KORPESHO) It is with profound sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Linda Barbara McClelland on January 8, 2007. She leaves behind the pride of her life, daughter Shannon, along with brother Steve Marykuca (Margaret), sister Elsie DeTurse (Frank), brother Ed Korpesho (Daryl), and several aunts, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Anne Korpesho. Linda was born in Winnipeg, May 29, 1951. She attended elementary school at William Whyte and King Edward School, followed by Isaac Newton and graduating high school from Sisler Collegiate. Following graduation, Linda completed a hairdressing course at Pollock's Hair Dressing School. In 1970 she married Bob. A year later daughter Shannon was born. Linda left hairdressing to pursue her love of women's fashions first with Eaton's then Academy Fashions. In 1980 she became a partner in a new venture opening the Creative Wardrobe store on Grant Avenue. She later managed a gift boutique in the Charleswood area. An avid reader, lover of music, and an extraordinary gift to do needle-point all filled Linda's days after retirement. She enjoyed family fishing trips to Sioux Narrows and Selkirk. A true animal lover, she was devoted to her faithful dog, Brodie. A private family service is planned. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be most appreciated. • I think about you often Aunt Linda, for you were taken far too soon. The sadness of losing you is tempered by many happy memories. You taught me a valuable life lesson about inner strength and overcoming adversity. Thank you so much. - Posted by: Dr. Carmen DeTurse (Nephew) on: Feb 21, 2014
